    Educational Qualification

    For the HR/Personnel Officer post, candidates should have a Graduate and Two Years Full-time Postgraduate degrees or Two Years Full-time Post Graduate Diplomas in Personnel Management / Industrial Relations/ HR / HRD/ Social Work / Labour Law.

    Age Limit

    The age limit for IBPS SO varies depending on the specific post. For the IT Officer, Agricultural Field Officer, Rajbhasha Adhikari, and Law Officer, candidates must be between 20 to 30 years of age as of November 1, 2021. For the HR/Personnel Officer post, candidates must be between 20 to 30 years of age as of November 1, 2021. However, candidates with a two-year full-time Post Graduate degree or two-year full-time Post Graduate Diploma can have a maximum age of 32 years as on November 1, 2021.

    Nationality

    To apply for IBPS SO, a candidate must be either:

    1. A Citizen of India, Nepal, Bhutan, or a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before January 1, 1962, to permanently settle in India, or
    2. A person of Indian origin who has migrated from the prescribed list of countries intending to settle in India permanently.

    Language Proficiency

    For the post of Rajbhasha Adhikari, candidates should have a working knowledge of Hindi. This means the candidate should be able to read, write, speak, and understand the language. For other posts, there are no specific language proficiency requirements. However, candidates should have proficiency in the official language of the State/UT for which they are applying. It is important to note that the official language proficiency is assessed during the interview process, and candidates who need to be proficient in the language may be disqualified.

    Work Experience

    Work experience is also a vital eligibility criterion for IBPS SO. Candidates applying for the post of IT Officer, Agricultural Field Officer, Rajbhasha Adhikari, and Law Officer are not required to have any prior work experience.

    However, candidates applying for the HR/Personnel Officer post should have at least two years of full-time work experience in the relevant field.

    The work experience should be relevant and acquired after obtaining the minimum educational qualification required for the post.
